My ever-growing Figma wishlist.

This is going to be my live document-article-ish wishlist shared with the world and hopefully, Figma will eventually implement or at least notice. By no means, I am demanding. LOL

Easier page management

Added November 13, 2020
Would be nice to have an easy way to manage files with lots of pages. E.g. Grouping pages and deleting multiple pages at once. There should be a plugin to do this, just need to explore and find it.

Hardware / GPU Acceleration

Added November 13, 2020
I’m not sure if you’ve been dealing with this, but there are times that Figma is hogging more memory than Chrome! It’s even eating more than my actual RAM!

I only have 8GB Ram! I’m not sure how is this even possible.

Easy way to edit components within components

Added November 12, 2020
Especially now that we have variants, it’ll be really nice to have an easy way to edit components within components. I attached a screenshot as a simple use case.

Basically what I want to be able to do is to combine 2(or more) different variants into 1 component, and still being able to edit in on the right sidebar.

Right now, you can do this by double-clicking on the component and select the component you want to modify.

Independent borders

Added November 10, 2020
Similar to Independent corners feature, we(I) need a way to set borders independently instead of creating a separate layer and line per side.

Blank containers as a style or a component

Added November 10, 2020
Auto layout is one of the best features that Figma has and I’m a big fan of it. I’m just wishing it can be a reusable style or component so I can create dynamic containers like empty cards or tables that is easy to keep consistent across pages/projects, especially now that Variants exist.

Easier text editing

Added November 10, 2020
It may not be a problem for some, but editing text can be really frustrating when you’re dealing with 4 levels of layers. There are times that you have to click 8 times (4 double clicks) before you can edit a specific text layer.

> Apparently, I’m the noob. Thanks to @rm_carter and @thomasnosek who replied on my tweet. I just need to press T and hover on a text before editing so I don’t have to dig.

How about you? Do you have features that you need in your Figma life?
