This image from Unsplash has nothing to do with the article, and I’ll agree to you once you read it and concluded that this image isn’t really related to what I wrote below. Believe me, I tried to find an appropriate one to summarize what I mean but wasn’t able to find one. I just don’t want my avatar or face to show when I share it so I decided to use this instead. Looks nice right? Haha.

When Too Much Is Not Enough

I’m over-stimulated. I know that. But that doesn’t mean I can cure it right away. You’re probably overstimulated too, and I’m guessing that it’s something that not everyone will be aware of. I have read that it’s also the main reason we get so bored easily. Because we have too much options in our hand.

This is why a lot of us are also distracted most of the time. The reason why digital tools and even physical products to keep us focused are being developed nowadays. Obviously, because most of us can’t control ourselves to behave the way we want to.

This is when too much is not enough, and I wish that I can turn that off instantly. Like how we can close all our browser tabs with a single click. I have plans and goals but this constant way of my brain, switching from one thing to another isn’t really helping me to achieve that. Maybe because It got used to doing that. It got used to it and wanting more.

I want to change that, but I know it’ll be hard. It’ll be hard because the consistent upgrades, technological advancements, new information, GAMES and more internet stuff will constantly bombard and introduce me more of the amazing things that would be interesting for me. Not only that, I know that I have to give-up things to be able to do more of what really matters to me. I may have to kill a lot of my ideas and dreams to do that. I know this because it will always be 1 is to 1. Time against time.

I’m hopeful, no matter how hard it’ll be. With God’s help. I’ll take it, one step at a time.
